some wonderful words of "advice" from some random show that was airing on TV just now when i was at the boys house.
he'd gone to brush his teeth and i was happily munching on cheezels on the couch. yes, i HATE cheese, but i have this weird thing for cheezels, where i carefully gnaw off the outer layer of the circle, so that it leaves just the plain (but oh soooo good-tasting) inner circle of uh, rice biscuit (or whatever cheezels are made out of).
anyhow, i digress.
so yeah.
"marriage is spending all night fighting, doing whatever you can to stay together because you cant imagine being apart".
im sure what ive just typed isnt exactly what the character said on the show, but you get the gist.
i dunno, i just thought it was pretty smart. or something something. meh.
the boy and i went to see STOMP tonight. and it was fucking fantastic.
the boy luved it. and its not often we find something that he likes.
ok. i can finally blog about the boy's 23rd birthday (yar yar he's younger. uh huh). not that anyone really cares. but hey, my blog is for me, for future reminiscence.
so his birthday was on saturday last week, the 11th. and it was full of surprises (or at least id like to think so).
surprise 1 and 2: the days before i told him he wasnt allowed to get out of bed (literally. not even to toilet) until he either heard from me via phone, or i walked through the door to get him up (i have house keys).
at 10am i walked into his room, and got a surprise coz he was actually still fast asleep. he normally gets up at 8 latest coz he is a bad sleeper (very bad coz it is somehow rubbing off on me also). woke him up, and left a tray of brownies on his floor (which he didnt see coz he was on the bed). went to the kitchen to get something (cant remember what now), and he spotted the brownies while i was outside.
surprise 3: id convinced (or so i think!) the boy that we werent doing anything all day, just hanging out at his place until dinner, which i said id booked for tony roma's.
half way through watchin a dvd i told him to get changed coz we were going out. and chucked a pair of 3d cinema glasses at him.
drove to the cinemas where we popped our gold class cinema cherry. had lunch in the cinema. which housed only the 2 of us. oh it was mosters vs aliens. which i didnt think was that funny, but the silly boy liked it.
surprise 4: on the way to dinner in the car i said we were gonna stop for a walk by the river. but the boy (after so many surprises) figured out it was another trick, and that we werent actually going to tony roma's for dinner.
brought him to have dinner by the river, at the old swan brewery. 45$ for a piece of steak! PLAIN steak!!!!! BY ITSELF!!!
surprise 5: the boy knew he was gettin a watch for his birthday coz he authorized it (he is damn fussy so i picked out a few and made him pick one he liked), but he didnt know he would get it served with his dinner by a waitress.
surprise 6: a week later, today, i tell the boy i got a package that arrived in my mail (i really did get it in the mail. coz it was from ebay), and asked if he could help me open it coz it was wrapped like crazy (it really was).
my work is so much more enjoyable when the kiddies are having a good day. which means that i have a good day too because they are being relatively well-behaved.
today, for the first time in a long long time (it may even possibly be the first time first time), i actually worked my 2 kids of the day right up to the end, with hardly any breaks at all.
and i didnt even notice the time until it was time to finish.
its been a good day.
c.f. the one i had yesterday, which i suppose wasnt THAT bad coz it wasnt me who was copping the crap from the kid, but my case manager who was there to help me out with training.
there was head banging, body throwing, pinching, spitting, biting, screaming, crying. the whole lot.
well i guess at least now the mother of the kid will know that its not coz im new and stupid that the kid will do things like that when im doing sessions with him alone, coz even the case manager kenahs.
=/
im so glad its the weekend. even though i didnt work last fri and this monday.
cant wait to go shopping and do nothing with the boy for 2 days.
just to think what i might have missed looking back, how did i exist i dreamed, still i never thought i'd come this far but miracles come true, i know coz here we are
two less lonely people in the world and its gonna be fine out of all the people in the world i just cant believe you're mine
in my life where everything was wrong something finally went right now there's two less lonely people in the world tonight
mm. sorry i havent been blogging on a semi-regular basis as of late.
but since gettin a semi-full-time job, the weekends have (as my ex-boss told me) suddenly become "very precious", and are usually (okok, ALWAYS) spent with the boy, over at his place.
therefore no time to blog!
also, it was long weekend this time, fri-mon.
technically i was supposed to work today from 9-11, but when i woke up at 6am and diarrhea-ed and then turned around and puked where id shat, and then repeated cycle, i cancelled my session.
ended up at the boy's.
so anyway.
quick post.
it was the boy's birthday on saturday, but there is a good reason for why i am not going to blog about that yet. minus the fact i dont have pictures of the day =/
new addition to the ed hardy collection.
nice?
on sale. 79$ only.
the boy bought it for me =)
fuckin heng i didnt buy the first time we saw it which was like maybe a month ago.
if not pay 139$.
tmd the shirt i paid 219$ for is now like half price.
tmd.
siannnnnnnn tomorrow got to work again.
this job is fuckin stressful man.
and im still at the bottom of the food chain.
i cannot even being to imagine hwo bad it will be if and when i ever get promoted.
right now i am not sure i want it at all to be honest.
managed to do what i have been ordered to do by mister supervisor, on my thesis that we're writing up for publication.
he wants me to re-do my results section coz he thinks the way i did it is like weird!!! i keep tellin him thats what our other lecturer taught us to do in her unit, and she is a stats lecturer lor. -_- but as usual he has to have it his way. so after tryin to persuade him not to make me do it, i finally did it. coz i realized i wasnt going to get out of doing it. bah.
so anyway ive done it (not all of it though, because i want to send him the new results and have him approve first, before i go and kill myself changing everything and drawing up new graphs). didnt think it would be this painless. of course i didnt do it on my own. considering it is stats, and that i havent looked at my bluddy results (which consists of rows and columns of numbers) since october.
it always amazes me how people are so smart.
so anyway. thought i'd treat myself by blogging a quick post.
random photos i took. to show how damn far i have to drive for one of my kid's sessions.
like got nothing except bush and grass lah.
and major big trucks and trailers.
the boy and i went grocery shoppin the other day.
and we somehow or rather managed to spend 122.20$,
for A WEEK'S worth of food =/
the budget was 80$.
so anyway this is what his place (food-wise) looks like now.
i guess its also coz we bought stuff for our picnic which we went on like the next day.
and the boy wanted to buy these cartons of coke and sprite that were on sale.
before opening his first kinder surprise of the day (we bought 3), the boy was harping on about how he's always wanted an aeroplane but never gotten one.
the boy's first kinder surprise of the day: a mini figurine of some fat genie who does absolutely nothing but just stand there. "this is the most fucking useless shit ever!!!" *sulks*
the boy's second kinder surprise of the day: *sees the instruction sheet* "its a mouse with a fucking broom WHAT THE FUCK?" *stamps feet*
i laugh until i want to die.
then a kinder surprise ad comes on on tv. and the final toy they show is a helicopter. boys stamps feet again.

-----------------------------------------
mm. after meeting with my boss today (after it being postponed for the last 3 weeks due to unforseen circumstances), i now have this bag with super a lot of things she gave me for one of my tutoring kids. so cute she wrote my name on the plastic bag also lah.
now i have like a stack of worksheets of all sorts, spelling, grammar, puzzles, you name it i have it. about 50 or so sheets worth, very likely more but fuck counting.
3 boxes of flash cards.
4 books.
and another 4 books worth of activities that i have to photocopy (although like i told her, the stuff she made copies of for me will prolly last the next 5 years, with me only having 1 hour a week of tuition with this kid!!!).
but anyway, no one cares. so why am i writing this?
i dunno lah. maybe it is coz i am damn tired and blahhh about having to sort through all this stuff when i am not gettin paid for it.
i guess i do enjoy it. i just wish i was gettin paid more.

raE's random (maybe intelligent) thought/quote for the day
Every individual acts and suffers in accordance with his peculiar teleology, which has all the inevitability of fate, so long as he does not understand it.
